Dena Klotz, AMFT
I work collaboratively with people to help them develop healthy relationships with themselves and others. I provide counseling to individuals, couples and families to enable people to heal, grow and transform, recognize their strengths and creativity, communicate better with others and become more alive and aware so they can live an authentic life.
I believe healing comes from feeling empowered, gaining a stronger sense of self, understanding recurring patterns, cultivating self-compassion, feeling alive, uncovering new coping mechanisms, and being able to make desired changes in a safe, nonjudgmental and nurturing environment. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is my relationship with you, and that through this relationship you will be able to understand yourself and make the changes you want to make.
I have a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a concentration in Mindfulness, from Phillips Graduate University, a Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree form University of California, Los Angeles. I also am pursuing a certification in Imago Relationship Therapy, the center of which is a special type of conscious dialogue that helps couples (and others) move from blame and reactivity to healing, growth and greater connection.
